Other Video Services:
The company is able to provide numerous other services allied to video technology by way of tape copying, transfer of systems,
transfer of formats and general editing. (Transfer of cine films to video [8mm and super 8mm] is sub-contracted out).
Copying of videos can be of any length from a few minutes up to 4 hours per cassette with a maximum total hours copying of around 500 for any one task.
The same applies to DVDs although a maximum of 2 hours is usually
copied to each disc.
Why
not clear your attic and shelves of all those old cine films and
hours of videos and we will transfer them to DVD and also clear all
that space of your collection of records (33s, 45, 78s) and we'll
transfer them to CDs. Please contact us for quotes.
All copying is done through a professional TBC (Time Base Corrector) which strengthens the signal whilst copying thereby ensuring steady pictures on almost all VCR's the copied tape may be played on.
The process of copying to DVDs is FINALIZED thereby ensuring that in
almost all instances the discs will play on any DVD player or p.c.
Charges for
multi-copying are on a sliding scale which reduce by volume.
Editing can be undertaken in two ways. Firstly, part editing where videos requiring copying can also be edited to take out unwanted sections (video, audio, or both) according to the requirements of the customer. Secondly, full editing where a customer's original camera footage is professionally edited, soundtracked and titled according to the customer's instructions. In these instances, the company prepares a new master which becomes the property and copyright of the customer and from which he can make as many copies as he likes.
Transfer of Systems involves the three most common international video systems i.e, PAL, NTSC and SECAM. PAL is the most used system in the E.U. and many middle and far east countries whilst NTSC is predominently the USA and Canadian systems. SECAM is mainly used in France and a few other countries. Until recently these three systems were incompatible insofar that a video tape recorded in say NTSC could not be played on a PAL VCR but more modern video recorders incorporate an NTSC playback facility only. PAL cannot be played on an NTSC VCR.
Mini DV tapes and DVDs recorded in the American NTSC system or on USA
camcorders can be transfered to the UK system.
The company are able to transfer any video format tape from PAL to NTSC to PAL but are not able to transfer to the SECAM system at present. (It must be remembered that when recording from PAL to NTSC, the NTSC VCR takes up a 3rd again of video tape).
ALL FORMATS CAN BE TRANSFERED TO DVD.
Transfer of Formats. There is an ever increasing number of video formats which can be confusing to many people. These are mainly -

used)
